Bourjois are a French cosmetics company that originally created products to whiten the skin of artists, actors and actresses. Started in 1863 by Joseph-Albert Ponsin, an actor himself, the company went on to produce make-up and perfume right up until the current day.

So this bottle might have contained cosmetics or more likely perfume for people on the stage!

Hand-poured in the UK using 100% British beeswax, with a burn time up to 10 hours.
